This Orange Cream Mocktail is cold, creamy, frothy, citrusy, and very reminiscent of an old-school Orange Julius, but made with real-food ingredients instead of mystery mall-counter magic. It has that bright orange flavor, a soft creamy finish, and just enough thickness to feel special without turning into a smoothie or frozen dessert.
This is more of a special-occasion drink than an everyday sip because it is higher in carbs, and fresh-squeezed juice does not bring the same fiber cushion you get from eating whole oranges.
Still, for a fun brunch drink, warm-weather treat, or alcohol-free party option, this one is refreshing, nostalgic, and a little fancy if you finish it with orange zest or a fresh orange slice.

Ingredients
2 cups fresh-squeezed orange juice
5 dates, cut in half
1 cup coconut yogurt, such as Harmless Harvest
1/2 cup coconut cashew milk
1/2 cup canned coconut milk, using the liquid portion, not the thick cream
1 can coconut cream, using the thick cream, not the liquid
1 teaspoon vanilla powder, optiona
Ice
Optional garnish: fresh orange zest or an orange slice
Instructions
Add the fresh-squeezed orange juice and dates to a blender. Blend until the dates are no longer chunky andhe mixture is as smooth as possible.
Add the coconut yogurt, coconut cashew milk, canned coconut milk liquid, and vanilla powder, if using. Blend well until the mixture looks creamy and you see a light froth or bubbles forming on top.
Add ice and blend again until the ice is completely chopped and the mocktail thickens slightly.
Add the coconut cream last and blend well, up to 2 minutes, until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and frothy. The final texture should be a little thicker than water, but not thick like ice cream. You want a creamy, pourable drink with a bubbly froth on top.
Pour into fancy glasses and garnish with fresh orange zest or an orange slice for some added pazaz.
Cheers
