Indulge in guilt-free decadence with Noble Alchemy’s Scrumptious Healthy Brownie Bites – a delightful dessert crafted without added sugar, flour, or dairy.
As I prepared to host a dinner/game night featuring Noble Alchemy’s Black Bean Fiesta Soup, I craved a chocolatey finale to complement the spicy feast. Unable to find the perfect recipe, I embarked on creating these irresistible “date-licious” brownies, where the natural sweetness of dates replaces traditional sugar. The result? Pure bliss in every bite!
Perfect for last-minute preparations, this recipe, ready in under 15 minutes (excluding bake time), is a breeze with my pre-made date paste. If you haven’t embraced the simplicity of making and storing date paste, now’s the time – trust me, the effort is well rewarded (see cooks note below).
Savor the fusion of health and taste in these date-sweetened delights. Get ready to elevate your dessert game and enjoy the wholesome goodness of these delectable treats!
- 1 cup pre-made date paste * See Cooks Note #1
- ½ cup almond butter
- 1 tablespoon flax powder (ground flax seeds)
- 5 tablespoons cacao powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon powdered vanilla *See Cooks Note #2
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons water
- Spray avocado oil for the mini-muffin pan
Instructions
- Lightly spray the avocado oil on a mini muffin tin to prevent sticking.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a food processor with an “s” blade, add all ingredients (in the order listed above) and process until a sticky dough in formed.
- Use a cookie scoop or small spoon to scoop the dough into the greased mini muffin tin. Dip your finger in water (to keep the dough from sticking to your finger) and gently get all of the dough off the spoon and into the tin – and gently tap the top of each muffin with your finger to flatten the dough in the tin.
- Bake 13-15 minutes or till the tops look a little dry (the centers will be slightly soft to the touch).
- Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool 30 minutes before removing them from the tin. They are a little fragile but will firm up as they cool.
- Once cool, run a knife around the edge of each Brownie Bite to help loosen them from the tin and remove them.
If you aren’t serving them immediately, they can be stored in the fridge for up to two weeks, but bring them to room temperature (take them out of the fridge about 30 minutes) before serving.
You can also add nuts if you like. Pecans and walnuts are best for my taste buds and body, but you do you. If you add them, make it about 1/2 cup and chop them up first. If you want to toast the nuts before adding them, it adds a different yummy taste to these delicious chocolate brownie bites. Keep in mind, nuts also adds calories. Sorry to burst your bubble.

This recipe makes 24 brownies.
They were a hit at my dinner party. In fact, I’d say they were They were “date-licious!”
* Cooks note #1: Date paste is used in place of added table sugar (I use date paste in many of my dessert recipes as it’s a fantastic natural alternative to processed/refined sugar, especially in baked goods). Get the date paste recipe HERE

** Cooks Note #2: The powdered vanilla is the secret ingredient (in my book). You can find it on Amazon by clicking HERE or by typing “vanilla bean powder” in the search bar (I buy the one pictured above by Vanilla Bean Kings, it’s organic, delicious and unsweetened). It can be a little pricy, but I think it’s worth every penny and a little goes a long way.
